Μια νέα, ιδιαίτερη συνεργασία έρχεται στο χώρο του gaming σύντομα. Η γνωστή αλυσίδα προϊόντων σπιτιού IKEA συνεργάζεται με την ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) για να αναπτύξουν μια σειρά από gaming έπιπλα και αξεσουάρ, σε χαμηλές τιμές, που θα πάρουν την gaming εμπειρία σε νέα επίπεδα. Με την γνώση του πρώτου για σχεδιασμό και κατασκευή εργονομικών επίπλων, και του δεύτερου για τις ανάγκες των gamers, η συνεργασία προσδοκεί να φέρει μια σειρά η οποία να που να βοηθά το performance των χρηστών και να δένει όμορφα στο χώρο.
Η IKEA είχε ξεκινήσει να εξερευνά πως μπορούν τα έπιπλα στο σπίτι να αναβαθμίσουν το gaming experience από πέρσι, με τη βοήθεια των UNYQ και Area Academy, και τώρα είναι έτοιμοι για το επόμενο βήμα. Η σειρά που θα συμπεριλαμβάνει περίπου 30 προϊόντα, θα κυκλοφορήσει το Φεβρουάριο του 2021, αρχικά στην Κίνα, και από τον Οκτώβρη του 2021 σε άλλες αγορές όπου βρίσκεται η IKEA.
Από την πλευρά της ΙΚΕΑ, η Ewa Rychert, Global Business Leader of Workspace, ανέφερε: “There are a lot of existing conventions about gaming which are often stereotypical or negative, for example, all the games are built on violence, gaming is asocial and it is predominantly a men’s activity. In fact, figures show that gaming is among the most truly cross-demographic activities, and it can improve an individual’s mental health and general well-being. It’s a source of relaxation, independence, fun; through gaming, people develop skills within problem solving, teamwork and communication. Playing games also provides a new way of connecting with others which has become even more important recently to feel connected remotely. We hope that the new gaming range will help to embrace and enable the benefits of gaming in life at home.”
